The aim of PowerReport is to provide additional reporting capabilities to JIRA. It enables the integration of the BIRT engine into JIRA.
Features
A gadget that displays available reports in JIRA's dashboard:
- Report management and access restriction are done using JIRA Groups and Projects
- Reports are displayed through a Mac-style "lightbox"
- Reports can be exported in various formats (PDF, Excel...)
- JIRA environment parameters are passed to BIRT reports, allowing you to create project oriented reports for example
- Reports administration (upload/delete)
A
service to schedule reports generation:
- One or more reports can be generated and scheduled from a single JIRA Service
- Generating parameters can be defined
- Scheduling use CRON expressions, which allows the implementation a truly precise scheduling policy
PowerReport features come in addition to
BIRT's built-in capabilities:
- It is possible to use a database retrieved list of choices to set the report parameters
- Multiple data sources can be aggregated, if you need to cross JIRA data with an external source
- Complex treatments can be done on data, for example using data cubes
- A complete set of built-in charts is available to graphically present your data
- Data drill-through can be implemented

PowerReport is directly linked to your JIRA license, the number of users licensed to use PowerReport must match the number of users licensed to use JIRA.
By buying a license, maintenance or upgrade you indicate your total acceptation with the following EULA (End User License Agreement).

- Includes 1 year of product updates and support
- Software maintenance period begins from the expiration date of the previous maintenance period, regardless of when the maintenance renewal is purchased. If you intend to renew, we recommend renewing at least 30 days before expiration.

PowerReport is free to use by official non-profit organisations and charities (proof of non-profit status is required). There are certain organisations whose purpose is to make the world a better place, and we believe in helping them achieve that.
Community licenses are designed for organisations which are:
- non-profit,
- non-government,
- non-academic,
- non-commercial,
- non-political
- secular
In nature, that would not otherwise be able to afford JIRA. If your organisation is philanthropic in nature then you probably qualify.
To apply for a Community License, send us an email specifying the following information:
- The registered name of your organization
- Your organization's URL
- A short description of your organization
Open Source
VALIANTYS supports and believes in the Open Source movement. PowerReport is free for any Open Source project to use.
There are a few requirements for an Open Source license, the main ones being:
- Established code base
- Publicly available project website
- Using an approved open source license
- Your JIRA instance will be publicly accessible
To apply for an Open Source License, send us an email specifying the following information:
- Project Name
- Project URL - Your project must have a public URL
- Project Description - Please outline the goals of your project and its intended users.
- JIRA Instance URL.
- Open Source License(s) used - Licenses must be on the list of licenses approved by the Open Source Initiative at http://opensource.org/licenses/alphabetical
